Data Integration Middleware for Military Environment

Abstract

Middleware for integration of applications have to be the principle pillar in the architecture of interoperable information systems that processes data in the heterogeneous military network environment. The proposed integration middleware — the Unified Adaptive Application Interface (UNIE) Integration Broker — as the basic integration and interoperability element of military systems, shall provide an adaptive interconnection with the heterogeneous network environment (HNE), based on the unified data and information base (UDIB).
