Analysis of Decision Process in HLA Simulations
Abstract
Abstract
Simulation and simulated environment are more and more exploited in these days. During the process of simulation we experiment with computer model which has to represent as accurate view of given system as possible to ensure the maximum relevance of acquired information. We simulate the states in dependence on specific conditions that can in military be e.g. time, environment, selected technology and its facilities and lot of others.
This work is focused especially on input value of tactical simulators which is always represented by the decision process, respectively the decision of commander. The issue has the form of valuable decision to which its complete analysis has to precede. During this process the possible consequences and impacts are recognized so that the result could be used in real world. The work solves the synergy between simulation environment and the analysis of decision process of commander. It adds to the simulator problems one more evaluating element which could be beneficial not only in military. It appreciably increases the usage importance of one of the main advantages of simulators which is so-called „what-if“ analyse. The decision element can exercise in many areas of human activity because the process of decision evaluation itself can be analysed in agreement with different criteria. Furthermore the work contains several specifications that refer to interoperability among simulators and it discusses standards, which ensures this communication and data exchange.
